ABSTRACT/Poster SUBMISSION:

Poster presentations: Poster Presenters will receive continuing education credit certificates. Special emphasis is given to original research.

Here are some ideas for poster presentations that you would be of interest at the 2027 BSSMC: The impact of concussions on athletes; New research on the prevention of sports injuries; The latest advances in sports performance training; The use of technology in sports medicine; The importance of mental health in sports; Special Case studies; Orthopedic sports injuries; Head Trauma; Unique Case Studies

If you are interested in presenting a poster at the 2027 BSSMC, please provide the following:

  • Title of Poster
  • Abstract, 250 words or less
  • A one page CV of the Poster’s lead author

 Abstract should contain the following

  • Title:  Descriptive, List type of study done, original research, case study, topic studied.
  • Authors: Lead author first, others involved, often the committee with lead professor
  • Institutions/Departments: Name of School/Institution, Department where the study was done
  • Background: Why you chose to study this problem, relevance to the general knowledge of this problem.
  • Methods: A synopsis of how you did your research, what was your experimental design
  • Results: What your data shows
  • Conclusions:  A summary of your conclusions based on your results. 

The deadline for submitting abstracts is December 1st, 2026.  Submit your proposal to cooperb@uga.edu. More information about poster will be received upon acceptance.
